Our Mission
Starfish Equine Rescue is a Cape May County New Jersey 501 (c)(3) Non Profit Charity for Horses. Just like The Starfish Poem, our goal is to make a difference one horse at a time. We wish we could save the world but why get discouraged and quit knowing this is not a possible task. Instead, save the ones you can and make an impact on their lives forever. We rescue horses at risk to the slaughter industry as well as unwanted, neglected and abused horses. All cases are different but all entail rehabilitation, farrier, dentist and veterinarian care. Once the horses are healthy we strive to place horses into the best adoptive homes. Every horse deserves their own special person to love and spoil them. Jill was sincerely one of the most supportive and nicest people around. An avid equestrian herself, she gave back to horses in need and supported Starfish. Jill also supported several other local charities and organizations. She was one of the first people to convince our founder Abby to go for a 501c3, and with that little push Starfish has grown over the years.
She will forever be in our hearts, and will be missed greatly.
